Evanescence Announce New Studio Album And UK Tour.

Evanscence.Friday 15th September 2017
EVANESCENCE are returning with SYNTHESIS, their fourth and most ambitious album to date, set for a November 10th release. The album features a reworking of some of EVANESCENCE's best-loved songs recorded with a full orchestra and electronica combined with the band and Amy Lee's virtuoso piano and voice.

EVANESCENCE--lead singer-songwriter and pianist Amy Lee, bassist Tim McCord, drummer Will Hunt, lead guitarist/backing vocalist Troy McLawhorn and guitarist Jen Majura worked with producers Will Hunt and orchestra arranger and composer David Campbell on SYNTHESISwhich will also feature two new EVANESCENCE songs, the first of which, entitled "Imperfection" will be released today.  The album includes guest performance by famed violinist Lindsey Stirling on "Hi-Lo" the other new song on the album.

AMY LEE describes the meaning behind "Imperfection," "For me, this is the most important song on the album. I struggled with the lyrics for a long time because there was a lifetime of work to live up to and I wasn't sure what to say or how to be good enough. When it finally started pouring out of me, it was undeniable. I had no choice. It's for all the people we've lost, all the people who we could lose, to suicide and depression. I'm singing from the perspective of the person left behind, the person in the waiting room. It's a plea to fight for your life, to stay. Don't give into the fear- I have to tell myself that every day. Nobody is perfect.  We are all imperfect, and it's precisely those imperfections that make us who we are, and we have to embrace them because there's so much beauty in those differences. Life is worth fighting for. You are worth fighting for."

Listen to "Imperfection" HERE

"This album is a total passion project for me. There are so many layers in our music, underneath the huge drums and guitars," explains AMY LEE. "I've always wanted to shine a light on some of the gorgeous David Campbell arrangements and programming elements in our songs, and that idea snowballed into completely re-doing them with full orchestra, not just strings, elaborate programming and experimentation. This will be our first time touring with orchestra and I'm so excited to perform this way-really focus on the vocals, and the emotion and the story we've built over the years. I'm also really excited about the new material on the album. Besides the two new songs, there are some really beautiful instrumental in-between moments. The whole thing flows like a big, dynamic soundtrack."

Both Standard CD & Digital versions of the album are available now for pre-order, as well as a Deluxe version which include the CD plus a DVD featuring a documentary on making the album as well as instrumental and 5.1 surround mixes of the songs.

Rem To Mark 25th Anniversary Of 'Automatic For The People'.

REM.Friday 15th September 2017
R.E.M. are reissuing their landmark album Automatic For The People to commemorate the title's 25th Anniversary. Due November 10 via Craft Recordings, the remastered album will be available in a variety of formats, the most extensive of which is the Deluxe Anniversary Edition, which will feature the album in it's entirety mixed in Dolby Atmos.

Watch a trailer for the album HERE

The album (plus bonus track "Photograph," featuring Natalie Merchant) was remixed in Dolby Atmos by Automatic's original producer, Scott Litt, and engineer, Clif Norrell. This technology delivers a leap forward from surround sound with expansive, flowing audio that immerses the listener far beyond what stereo can offer. It transports the listener inside the recording studio with multi-dimensional audio – evoking a time when listening to music was an active, transformative experience, and reigniting the emotion you felt when you first heard the album in 1992.  R.E.M.'s Automatic For The People is the first album to be commercially released in this expressive, breathtaking format.

In addition, the 4-disc Deluxe Edition will offer a wealth of previously unreleased material. The band selected 20 never-before-heard demos from the LP's sessions, including the fully-realized, unreleased track "Mike's Pop Song" and the oft-mused about song, "Devil Rides Backwards." "Mike's Pop Song" debuts today and is available as an instant grat track with preorder of the reissue. Share the track HERE  and preorder HERE
Mike Mills hadn't heard this demo for 25 years and admits it was "a very pleasant surprise". With a lovely, upbeat melody, not unlike the 'Out of Time' classic 'Near Wild Heaven', 'Mike's Pop Song' is a genuine treat. 'Mike's Pop Song' was recorded in February 1992 at John Keane Studios in Athens, Georgia.
Also included in both the 2-disc 25th Anniversary and Deluxe Edition of the album—which was remastered from the original analog tapes by Stephen Marcussen—is a full live set, Live At The 40 Watt Club 11/19/92. Performed in R.E.M.'s hometown of Athens, GA, it was the band's only live show that year.

Housed in a 12" x 12" lift-top box, the Deluxe Anniversary Edition features a 60-page book, offering never-before-seen photos by Anton Corbjin and Melodie McDaniel, plus expanded, new liner notes by Scottish music journalist Tom Doyle who conducted new interviews with all four band members. Also included is a companion Blu-ray, offering the Dolby Atmos mix, plus a high-resolution master of Automatic For The People, seven music videos and the original 1992 EPK video. Automatic For The People will also be reissued on 180-gram vinyl (with digital download card), and will be available across all digital and streaming outlets.

Widely regarded as one of the best rock albums of all time, Automatic For The People, R.E.M.'s eighth studio outing, was recorded in session locations ranging from New Orleans to Seattle, and Athens, GA to Miami. Rolling Stone has ranked Automatic For The People on their list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time." Notable contributions to the record come from Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones who provided string arrangements on select tracks. After its release in 1992 the record reached #1 on UK charts and #2 in the US, selling over eighteen million copies worldwide. It also received 1994 Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album with major singles "Man on the Moon" and "Everybody Hurts" garnering Grammy nods as well.

Michael Stipe has since reflected that the album concerns topics of "mortality and dying," but he further notes, "Mortality is a theme that writers have chosen to work with throughout time. It speaks of the fragility and beauty of life and living life to the fullest in the present moment. It happens all too quickly and we all know that." Mike Mills asserts, "I think it's our most cohesive record...It's the strongest from first to last."

Following the success of their multiplatinum Out of Time in 1991, the band's reputation was skyrocketing with critics and fans alike. However, R.E.M.'s decision not to tour behind it, and with no plan to tour its successor, the band chose to push further into unexplored sonic territory. The recording was thus characterized by experimentation and playfulness in the studio resulting in a largely acoustic sound full of eerie and ambiguous commentary on the nature of mainstream fame they'd recently found. To this day, songs like "Everybody Hurts," "Drive," "Nightswimming" and "Man on the Moon," as well as lesser known but sublime songs like "Try Not To Breathe" and "Monty Got a Raw Deal," still resonate throughout the collective music and pop culture.

Formed in 1980, the legendary group went on to win multiple Grammys and produce 15 studio albums, plus many others including greatest hits and live documents. Noted for both their profound contributions to the alternative rock genre and their status as one of the world's best-selling music artists of all time, the band's three-decade long career remains a legacy of music that defined an era and a model for musicians paving their own career path. R.E.M. (comprised of Bill Berry, Peter Buck, Mike Mills and Michael Stipe) was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 before disbanding amicably in 2011.

Marilyn Manson Back With New Single 'We Know Where You Fucking Live'.

Marilyn Manson.Wednesday 14th September 2017
Marilyn Manson confirms October 6 release for Heaven Upside Down. New single “WE KNOW WHERE YOU FUCKING LIVE” trolls the dark frenetic territory that made Manson a God-like figure to so many. The ten tracks on Heaven Upside Down were recorded in Los Angeles and create a cinematic sonic palate that harkens back to the ferocity of seminal Manson albums Portrait of an American Family and Holy Wood. On the new album, he reunites with producer and film composer Tyler Bates following an epic collaboration on Manson’s critically acclaimed 2015 release The Pale Emperor.

Themes of violence, sex, politics and romance slice through Heaven Upside Down. Manson asks his fans to brutally pledge their devotion on “KILL4ME” and delves into new genres with a trap beat on the track “SAY10” as he proclaims “I’m a legend, I’m not a fable.”

Manson's sensationalist music and art that rejects conservative values created an icon who has infiltrated fashion, television, film and music, and whose fingerprints coat modern culture. 20 years into his career, Manson is still a lightning rod of controversy and the pageantry and debauchery of his life are perfectly intact.

The follow up to the band's self-titled 2014 breakout LP, The Stories We Tell Ourselves sees frontman Jonny Hawkins once again bearing the soul of Nothing More as his bandmates Mark Vollelunga (guitar), Daniel Oliver (bass) and Ben Anderson (drums) craft a sonic palette comprised of elements ranging from progressive rock to pop.

Lewis to the potent psychedelic DMT, all of which helped open singer Jonny Hawkins' mind to new ways of understanding himself and the world around him.  Veil Of Maya announce New Album.

Veil Of maya.Wednesday 13th September 2017
Illinois' finest VEIL OF MAYA are returning with their long awaited album "False Idol".

Due to be released via Sumerian Records, the new album is a marked sonic evolution - it's more hypnotic, heavier, and hits harder than ever before. "False Idol" also encodes a curious narrative underneath a maelstrom of polyrhythmic guitars, sweeping vocals, and shuddering beats.

"The whole album is told from a first-person perspective", explains vocalist Lukas Magyar. "You're following this character, who's not the nicest person, and he rises to power. You'll have to listen to find out what happens - it's a very dark storyline."

"It felt more like we were making a movie or a TV series," guitarist Marc Okubo adds. "Lukas actually had a storyboard idea that we talked about before even starting. It's almost like we were providing the soundtrack in Veil of Maya's template."

The seeds for this widescreen ambition can be traced back to 2015's "Matriarch", which bowed at #2 on the Billboard US Hard Rock Chart and spawned the band's biggest hit to date in the form of 'Mikasa' - the video racked up over 5.2 million YouTube views and 5.1 million Spotify streams. The album also earned critical acclaim from Billboard, Alternative Press, New Noise Magazine and more.

The release of "Matriarch" saw VEIL OF MAYA hit the road with the likes of Animals As Leaders, Upon A Burning Body, Volumes, Chelsea Grin, Oceans Ate Alaska and other heavy hitters, as well as performing on the Vans Warped Tour. Then, in late 2016, the band headed to Los Angeles to record what would become "False Idol". Marc Okubo worked with producer Max Schad in one studio, while Lukas Magyar teamed up with vocal producer Brandon Paddock in another.

"Working in two studios at the same time was a new approach for us," says Marc. "In the past, we completed all of the instrumentals for Lukas to then marinate on. Everything was done by the time he joined the band, but this is the first time we got to write with his voice in mind. And another change was that he was writing on the spot - it brought a different energy and ended up being really cool. Working with Max [Schad] made a big difference too."

The end product is a darker and heavier vibe, with first single 'Overthrow' effortlessly moving from a crushing tidal wave of riffs into a soaring, striking clean refrain. It taps into the expansive energy of signature fan favourites, whilst elevating the group to a new level. In "False Idol", VEIL OF MAYA have an album that crushes pulverising power with an unforgettable narrative in the landscape of their most definitive work to date.

"We wanted to create something fresh," Lukas explains. "We didn't recycle the same old thing. It's a new beginning."

"I hope the record is one that people will want to go back to and study again," agrees Marc. "It's worth more than one listen."

Knuckle Puck Release Video For 'Double Helix'.

In early 2017, Knuckle Puck entered the studio to record the follow-up to Copacetic—their 2015 breakthrough that debuted in the Top 10 of five different Billboard chartsearned a nomination for Album of the Year at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards and launched them from the Chicago suburbs to a place among the most beloved acts of the modern pop-punk genre.

But midway through the process, the band (vocalist Joe Taylor, guitarists Nick Casasanto and Kevin Maida, bassist Ryan Rumchaks and drummer John Siorek) realized they were on the wrong path. They weren't only making the wrong album for Knuckle Puck—they were making the wrong album for themselves. They knew they had no choice but to start from scratch.
"Having such a struggle and being so disconnected in the recording process felt wrong," Casasanto explains. "It felt so wrong, and we were all afraid to talk about it. There was some denial when we realized what was unfolding."

Discouraged but undefeated, the band changed producers, eventually landing back with Copacetic producer Seth Henderson, and began rebuilding the songs they'd written from the ground up. Knuckle Puck's first attempt would have produced a fine album, but their second created the right one.

The result is Shapeshifter, due October 13 on Rise Records. Despite its title, the album isn't a reinvention for the band; rather, it's the sound of Knuckle Puck taking their best qualities and honing them to make them even sharper. The songwriting became tighter and more deliberate, the lyrics more introspective and urgent—without losing an ounce of the sweat-soaked authenticity and passion that made Copacetic so captivating. Above all, it's an album that proves the band are unflinchingly unwilling to compromise when it comes to their art. That's a sentiment reinforced throughout Shapeshifter's main lyrical theme—the importance of identity—which was only magnified during their first studio session.

"When you reach early adulthood and start to see your life take shape, it's also important to shape your identity and break yourself free from anything that might be holding you down," Casasanto says. "That was a glaring parallel between what was going on with the record and what we were writing about at the time. Although it was tumultuous, I truly think we wouldn't have written the same record without going through what we did."

Throughout their struggle, Knuckle Puck grew stronger and more confident in themselves, something the band ultimately want listeners to take from Shapeshifter.
"I hope the album instills a little bit of hope in people," Casasanto says. "You look at politics and how fast the world is now, everything the internet is bringing to the world. It's difficult to form an identity when there's so much in your face. I hope people realize they should consume the things that really speak to them. Through that, I feel like it's the most satisfying way to be who you want to be."

Shapeshifter Track Listing:
01) Nervous Passenger
02) Twist
03) Double Helix
04) Gone
05) Everyone Lies to Me
06) Stuck in Our Ways
07) Want Me Around
08) Conduit
09) Wait
10) Plastic Brains

Shapeshifter is currently available for pre-order through Rise Records.

John Carpenter Release Video For 'Christine'.

John Carpenter.Wednesday 13th September 2017
Last month John Carpenter announced 'Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998'; a collection of his classic movie themes, set for release on October 20th via Sacred Bones. Today, he has shared a second glimpse from the release; along with a new video he has created to accompany "Christine".

Carpenter describes the track as: "Electronica for a killer car". He continues: "Most of the sound track for Christine was 1950s rock 'n roll (with a main title appearance of George Thorogood and the Destroyers' "Bad to the Bone"). I filled in where necessary."

The new John Carpenter-directed clip to accompany the track succinctly re-imagines his classic 1983 film, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name.

Watch the video for "Christine" here: https://youtu.be/SH2f4A4SVNk
Embed code: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SH2f4A4SVNk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

John Carpenter is a legend. As the director and composer behind dozens of classic movies, Carpenter has established a reputation as one of the greatest filmmakers in the history of modern cinema, as well as one of its most influential musicians. The minimal, synthesizer-driven themes to films like Halloween, Escape From New York, and Assault on Precinct 13 are as indelible as their images, and their timelessness was evident as Carpenter performed them live in a string of internationally sold-out concert dates in 2016.

'Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998' collects 13 classic themes from Carpenter's illustrious career together on one volume for the first time. Each theme has been newly recorded with the same collaborators that Carpenter worked with on his hit 'Lost Themes' studio albums: his son, Cody Carpenter, and godson, Daniel Davies.

'Anthology...' is a near-comprehensive survey of John Carpenter's greatest themes, from his very first movie, the no-budget sci-fi film Dark Star, to 1998's supernatural Western,Vampires. Those sit alongside the driving, Led Zeppelin-influenced Assault on Precinct 13 theme, Halloween's iconic 5/4 piano riff, and the eerie synth work of The Fog. Carpenter and his band also cover Ennio Morricone's bleak, minimalist theme for The Thing. ("I asked Morricone to please compose something with a very few notes," Carpenter says. "And brilliantly, he did.")

We also get vital new recordings of the themes to '80s classics and fan favorites Big Trouble in Little China, Escape From New York, Christineand They Live, along with the romantic Starman, which earned Jeff Bridges his first Oscar nomination as a lead actor. The collection is rounded out by the menacing, heavy themes to Prince of Darkness and In the Mouth of Madness, the latter a Metallica-inspired riff originally played for the film by Kinks guitarist Dave Davies, and now played by his son Daniel.

In the weeks following 'Anthology's October 20 release, Carpenter will return to the road, playing both classic movie themes and material from his two 'Lost Themes' albums. The performances will once again affirm the power of the Horror Master's brilliant work as a composer and musician, and undoubtedly send audiences rushing home to their DVD libraries to dive yet again into the most rewarding filmography in genre cinema.

In addition to CD, black LP and digital version, 'Anthology...' will be available on the following limited edition colour vinyl formats:
- DELUXE LP w/ 7" - "CHRISTINE RED" - 3000 units (exclusively available in stores outside of the US)

With the vast catalogue of material that the Stranglers have in their recorded arsenal, it is never easy to decide exactly which songs to bring together on record or perform live on tour but, in March 2018, the band will present their "Definitive" collection. The Definitive Tour is set to coincide with the planned re-release of their first seven albums (six studio and one live) originally issued on the UA and EMI/Liberty labels.

As always, audiences can expect to be swept up high on the wave of the Stranglers' powerful sound during what is always an exhilarating live experience; pounding rhythms, soaring melodies, quirky humour and thrillingly daring musicianship will come together again this March.

One of the UK's most exciting, credible and influential British groups, the Stranglers are riding high on the crest of a resurgent wave of popularity. They continue to thrive on the live circuit and their existing large and loyal fan base has swelled in recent years as new converts join the ranks. With record-breaking, sell-out shows and festival appearances throughout the UK and the rest of the world, public demand to hear and see the group has never been so high; true testament to their considerable musical talent and the enduring quality of their songs.

For the 2018 UK tour, the Stranglers are also pleased to announce that Therapy? will be their special guests. One of the most uncompromising, creative and individualistic bands of their generation, Therapy? made a spectacular breakthrough in 1994 with their multi hit-spawning album, Troublegum, which clocked up a cool million sales worldwide. The group are expecting to release their 15th album in early 2018 and have spent much of the past year performing a series of critically-acclaimed acoustic dates.

 Seaway Release New Video.

Seaway.Tuesday 12th September 2017
SEAWAY have released new video "Lula On The Beach," which features a rotating cast of four-legged friends.

In light of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the band has pledged to donate $1 per video share (up to $1000) to the ASPCA to support relief efforts in Texas and Florida. "Lula On The Beach" is the latest from Seaway's forthcoming album, Vacation, due out September 15th, 2017 via Pure Noise Records.

You can watch new video for 'Luna On The Beach' here
I would say that collectively, Lula is probably our favourite song off the record," shares Andrew Eichinger. "It's definitely the most different sounding song we've ever done and the furthest we've stepped out of the space we've been operating in over the last couple of years. At the same time, it somehow encapsulates the entire Seaway vibe and what we're all about as a band."
He continues: "The video was really fun for us because on the surface, 'Lula' just sounds like it's another song about a girl, but as the video reveals, it's really a song about bringing your dog to the beach ... Miguel, Dave, and everyone else at YEAH! Films were the obvious choice for us on this one. We've been talking about making a beach video with them since high school, and it's gratifying to see the result of working with friends who are all on the same page creatively."

As the band's follow up to 2015's Colour Blind, Vacation marks a progression in sound while still giving listeners the high energy and well-crafted hooks they have come to expect.  Fans can pre-order the album and stream first single "Apartment" now at www.seawayband.com.

Formed in 2011, SEAWAY is Ryan Locke (vocals), Patrick Carleton (guitar, vocals), Ken Taylor (drums), Adam Shoji (bass), and Andrew Eichinger (guitar). The band has become known for their highly infectious brand of pop punk – one that strikes the perfect balance between the two styles and recalls a time when the genre centred on having fun.
SEAWAY released their debut album Hoser in 2013. The following year, the five Canucks signed to Pure Noise Records to release their follow up EP, All in My Head. Their sophomore full length Colour Blind was released in 2015 via Pure Noise Records following an entire summer on the Vans Warped Tour
The band will release their new album Vacation on September 15, 2017.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Announce New Album 'Wrong Creatures'.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.Tuesday 12th September 2017
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are currently putting the finishing touches to their forthcoming eighth studio album, the follow-up to 2013's 'Specter At The Feast', entitled  "Wrong Creatures" which will be released on January 12th 2018.

BRMC - Peter Hayes (vocal, guitar, harmonica), Robert Levon Been (vocal, bass, guitar) and Leah Shapiro (drums) started to formulate the album in the summer of 2015. Shapiro was six months clear of  life-saving brain surgery for Chiari Malformation, a rare disorder the restricts the flow of spinal fluid between the brain & spine . The trio had come off a tour and began sketching out new songs in their private lockout space appropriately nicknamed 'The Bunker' in North Hollywood.  "It's a crazy making machine, it can chew you up good, I mean we literally toured 'till the wheels came off and Leah's brain literally started leaking out of her head" says Been. "I know I've battled on and off with mental depression, and Pete's head never came with any proper instructions."

Nick Launay, famed for his work with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arcade Fire and most significantly here Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, came in to produce the album, and became a fundamental part of the BRMC machine, providing the band with a sounding board. "I find myself writing about death a lot," says Hayes. "I find myself having a discussion with death, which sounds dark. For me, it's dark humor."
Adds Been "We are truly an island – come hell or high water, so it's usually best to dress accordingly. Though I'm not sure what the proper attire is when drowning in fire. But leather usually goes with everything."

The band also released their first track "Little Thing Gone Wild" today, which will be an instant grat track with the album pre-order. It's a dirty, sexy, rollicking ride of big licks and heavy bass – and the first taste of the album. It's also the inspiration for the LP's title, drawing on a lyrical passage. "Lord you hear me loud into my soul speaker, why won't you let me out, you've got the wrong creature'.  Preorder link for the album is HERE

 The haxans Release New Video.l

The Haxans.Tuesday 12th September 2017
THE HAXANS (Ash Costello & Matt Montgomery) have premiered their new music video for the song "Black Cat Bone". The track is featured on the group's debut album, Party Monsters, which comes out on October 13th (Friday the 13th!).

The brand-new "Black Cat Bone" music video can be seen here: http://vevo.ly/YseKyL

Speaking about the new song and corresponding music video, Ash Costello (vocals) states: "I love every Haxans song but 'Black Cat Bone' holds a special place in my heart. It's the perfect marriage between classic rock and dance rhythms. The icing on the cake are Matt's deep vocals! It's a Halloween party must that will keep you shakin' a feather year round. It's also one of the very first songs we did together for The Haxans, it embodies a little bit of each slice that makes up the entire Haxans pie!"

Adding his thoughts on the band's newest song, Matt Montgomery comments: "'Black Cat Bone' was one of our earliest songs. It kinda set the tone for our record, and really helped get the party started. But now every party has a potential party crasher, and this one in our video just wouldn't quit! I think everyone probably has one of those in their life somewhere. At one point they were invited, but somewhere along the way they crossed some lines.”

 Butcher Babies Announce New Album.

Butcher Babies.Tuesday 12th September 2017
Hollywood-based metal outfit BUTCHER BABIES are set to release their third studio album "Lilith" on 10th November via Century Media Records.

The band is thrilled to announce that pre-orders for the new album are available now in both physical and digital formats. Speaking about the unique pre-order packages for "Lilith", vocalist Carla Harvey says:

"In anticipation of "Lilith", we wanted to offer unique pre-sale bundles that are special to us. Not only do we have the album, limited edition vinyl, and t-shirts up for grabs, but we are also offering limited edition items curated by myself and Heidi. One such item is a gorgeous lyric book for "Lilith", featuring never before seen illustrations by me and graphics by Heidi.  Another item is our signature "Lilith" pendant, a darling necklace handcrafted by us for our Butcher Army."

Fans that pre-order "Lilith" will also receive the album's title track as an instant download. Speaking about the first offering from their new album, vocalist Heidi Shepherd states:

"After a year of writing and recording, we are thrilled with the growth and maturity of this album. Leading with our title track 'Lilith', the artistic development within the band shines. We worked with producer Steve Evetts to bring you the rawest form of Butcher Babies. No auto-tune, 100% real drums, real guitars, real bass, and an all out Butcher Babies assault on your senses. As we know in this industry, these standards are quickly replaced by machines and can eliminate what makes a band an actual band. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication that each member of our team put in to create this masterpiece."

 Marillion Announce 2018 UK Tour.

Marillion.Tuesday 12th September 2017
Prog rock giants MARILLION announce 7 new UK dates in April 2018 on the back of their October show at The Royal Albert Hall, which sold out within four minutes of going on sale, and The London Palladium in November, which also sold out in record time.

MARILLION’S music is more than prog, it’s musically-experimental and yet-emotional. Within the genre it has a uniquely soul-baring aspect which sets the band apart and has elicited an almost religiously zealous following.  After nearly 40 years, the band has evolved into a vibrant and international musical force, flourishing seemingly outside of fashion and mainstream media exposure. Since their formation, they have had 19 Top 30 singles, four of which made the Top 10.

Their most recent album, F E A R (Fuck Everyone and Run)peaked at No. 4 in the UK album charts and No. 1 in the rock chart last year and was given a 5-star review by The Guardian.

>Steve Hogarth says: "I have been part of this band now for 27 years and it barely feels like 10. I think we’re as inspired as we ever were, and we’re still enjoying creating together. Luckily our music has remained free to evolve and change without the constraints of a corporate music business which otherwise might have killed us.

By reinventing the business-model we have maintained a one-to-one relationship with our fans, and that feeling is never more apparent than at the live shows. It’s always a pleasure to share a room with “the family" and exchange the passion on stage with the passion off stage.
We’re playing a few places we haven’t visited for a while. Long overdue. 'Really looking forward to this little outing."

MARILLION are not just musically innovative... they are widely acknowledged to be the first band to use the-now-commonplace crowdfunding scheme. Pledge Music and Oxford University have acknowledged that the band invented the business model. In the late 90s, fans sponsored an entire US tour.  Their first crowd-funded album was Anoraknophobia, released in 2001.

Winners of a staggering EIGHT Categories in 2016 Prog Mag Awards (see Notes to Editors), MARILLION elicit remarkable devotion from their international fan base.  To those who already love MARILLION, the band is something special. To the uninitiated, it’s a love affair waiting to happen.

Avenged Sevenfold Expand 'The Stage' Further.

Avenged Senvenfold.Tuesdsay 12th September 2017
AVENGED SEVENFOLD continue their expansion of new album THE STAGE with today's release: a cover of the 1966 Rolling Stones' hit, "As Tears Go By" – click HERE to listen.

"We really got into some of the deeper Rolling Stones tracks during the writing process for 'Hail To The King,'" says Avenged Sevenfold vocalist M. Shadows. "This song always stood out because of the melody and fragile state of Mick Jagger's vocal and the interesting string section in the bridge. We took a more uptempo rock & roll approach and added the sitar as a little nod to the experimentation of the 60s."
Over the course of the past several weeks, Avenged Sevenfold have been steadily adding new tracks to THE STAGE and transforming the album into an evolving body of work. They began with Mexican folk song "Malagueña Salerosa" and followed with a reimagining of Mr. Bungle's "Retrovertigo," original track "Dose," a cover of Del Shannon's 1961 No. 1 hit, "Runaway" (featuring a guest appearance by Vandals' guitarist Warren Fitzgerald and lead vocals by Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance) and the band's version of The Beach Boys' 1966 hit, " God Only Knows."

THE STAGE is the band's 7th studio album and first for Capitol Records. The album hit No. 1 on Billboard's Rock, Hard Rock and Alternative Albums charts, No. 4 on the Top 200 and debuted Top 5 on iTunes in over 35 countries.  Its title track hit Top 5 at rock radio and its companion video has amassed over 19.5 million YouTube views to date.
Avenged Sevenfold (vocalist M. Shadows, guitarists Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance, bassist Johnny Christ and drummer Brooks Wackerman) just wrapped a stadium summer run with Metallica as well as on their own series of special headline shows. Next up is their headlining slot at the Houston Open Air festival on September 15th.

The Used Announce Brand New Album.

The Used.Tuesday 12th September 2017
The Used have announced they will be releasing their seventh studio album titled, "The Canyon" due out October 27th on Hopeless Records. Produced by Ross Robinson (The Cure, At The Drive In), the 17-track album is the most raw, unadulterated and personal piece of art the band has ever released.  Check out the brand new track "Over and Over Again" HERE

"The Canyon" will take fans on a lyrical journey through the intimate psyche of Bert McCracken.  The intricate musical composition displayed presented itself to the band in a way it never has before.

"I've learned as an artist that a great idea is such a gift.  If I don't stop whatever it is I'm doing, even if while driving, if I don't pull over at that moment, then maybe I didn't deserve the idea to begin with. I learned to respect and worship the ideas in that way, that they are and will always be something sacred. Stopping in that moment was a brand new approach for us during this process" says McCracken.

Every musical note and vocal heard on the record was recorded entirely on tape without a click track at the legendary Valentine Studio with some songs featuring string arrangements and a choir. The process was unique and unlike anything the band has done before. They would hit record and play it as if they were on stage, without a backing track. Songs weren't played and recorded repeatedly until the magic was gone. What you are hearing is what really took place within the recording process. Every nuance was captured and with every listen you experience something new.

Over the last 15 years, The Used have released a collection of albums that have shaped the space of the alternative rock scene. High energy live shows, gut wrenching relatable lyrics, and melodies that blended pop sensibility and hard rock creating the perfect combination to make an everlasting impression on fans globally.  The band put everything into writing and recording The Canyon and from start to finish, you are submerged into an inescapable visceral universe and McCracken leaves us with,"That's what this record is–it's a moment of silence for what's real."
