I have never been so excited about an album as I
am with the forthcoming Biffy Clyro album ‘Only
Revolutions’, the album is due for release
on the 9th November and I am already counting down
the days, they pleased me earlier in the year with
‘Mountains’ a song that is not going
to appear on their new album, they also majorly
pleased me back in August with their outstanding
single ‘That Golden Rule’, and now they
have unleashed another top single with ‘The
Captain’.
‘The Captain’ is due for release
on the 26th October and it is one hell of an amazing
song, it is epic just like ‘That Golden
Rule’ was but instead of being a full on
guitar driven song where the instrumental work
comes close to Tool ‘The Captain’
is more toned down and is more of an easy listening
song with big strong Scottish sounding vocals
from front man Simon Neil, the opening and closing
riffs are epic but nowhere near in the same heavy
style as during ‘That Golden Rule’.
Recently Biffy Clyro have gone really experimental
which helps make them one of the most exciting
bands around at the moment, each and every single
they have released recently have been outstanding
but so different from each other and ‘The
Captain’ is no different, seriously give
‘The Captain’ a listen and find yourself
falling in love with the sound of Biffy Clyro
straight away.
5/5
