Canterbury are a very young four piece band who
seem to be getting big very fast, they head out
on the road supporting Billy Talent in a couple
of weeks and as soon as that tour finishes they
head out on the road with Hundred reasons before
then embarking on their own headline tour, they
are also soon to release their debut album ‘Thank
You’, but in the mean time they will be releasing
their new single ‘Eleven, Twelve’ on
the 26th October.
‘Eleven, Twelve’, is a rocky pop
song with that poppy-punk edge, the song is really
melodic but to the point where it might start
to get on your nerves after a few listens, but
give it a listen as this really might be your
kind of thing.
The b-side ‘Friends? We’re More Like
A Gang’, starts off sounding more rock orientated
than the main single, it has some big sounding
guitar riffs and a massive rocking sing-a-long
chorus that is sure to get the bands fan’s
moving in a frantic way at their live shows, the
only downside to the song is that it feels like
it goes on for a bit longer than it should.
I really believe that the b-side here should
of been the main single as it packs a bigger punch
than what ‘Eleven, Twelve’ does by
I am sure Canterbury know what they are doing
and what their fan base expects from them.
3/5
