On November the 9th Fortune release their debut
single ‘Highway’, now you are probably
thinking who are Fortune, well they are another
one of those cheesy disco-pop sounding bands who
over do their songs with synths and disco beats
whilst trying to bring the sound of the 70’s
into the 21st century.
The band’s debut single ‘Highway’
really isn’t my kind of thing, don’t
get me wrong I don’t mind listening to pop
music that is crammed full of disco beats but
when every band seems to be going the same way
it starts to get boring as every band seems to
think that they are going to make it to the big
time as they have included disco beats in their
music which seems to be the new cool these days
with the scene kids, but for Fortune nothing about
‘Highway’ stands out it comes across
very tired and boring sounding.
The press release for the single states that
Fortune are going to scale great heights in 2010,
now if they do then the music industry really
is in trouble as there is nothing about Fortune
at the moment that makes them stand out enough
to break out of the underground.
2/5
