The Leftovers are a new nerdy poppy-punk band on
the horizon, they have just signed to Jaret Reddick
from Bowling For Soup’s Crappy Records label
and they will also be heading over to Europe with
Bowling For Soup on their forthcoming October tour.
The band’s debut album release on Crappy
Records is ‘Eager To Please’ which
is released on the 26th October and to give everyone
a tester of what to expect from the album they
are releasing their new single ‘Telephone
Operator’ beforehand.
‘Telephone Operator’ is very Ramones
sounding, it is also no different from songs that
bands like New found Glory, Blink 182, Green Day
and the other heavy weight pop-punk bands have
been knocking out for the past ten years or so.
We have established that the song is very un-original
but don’t let that put you off listening
to it as it is a real happy upbeat song that features
really catchy sing-a-long vocals.
‘Telephone Operator’ is a good start
for The Leftovers in the UK and I am sure they
are going to make a good impression on the UK
music fans when they support Bowling For Soup
in a couple of weeks.
3/5
