Between the Screams are a metal band from the UK,
Our Last Days on Earth is there debut album release.
The post apocalyptic title suggests that the
album is going to be the same, its grinding in
places, and atmospheric in others, the more melodic
pieces sound much better than the noisy grinding
parts of some of the tracks, the vocals again
are like the music, hit and miss, i feel at times
that there is too much going on, and not enough
clarity in the instruments used, just taking away
some of the elements may clean the tracks up somewhat.
Also the tracks could do with some trimming as
they tend to drag on slightly at times, but its
a good album and possible decent soundtrack to
the end of the world, but the vocals could do
with some tweaking, id like to hear the album
without any vocals, i think it would alter the
album into something very likable.
Between the screams is out now
4/5
