Until a few weeks ago I hadn’t even heard
of General Fiasco and now I have their new single
‘We Are The Foolish’ to review, what
I have since found out about these guys is that
they are a band from Northern Ireland who formed
back in 2007, they have released their fair share
of demo’s and have supported some great bands
such as The Wombats, One Night Only, The Pigeon
Detectives and are soon to be supporting The Enemy
on their massive headline UK tour.
So music wise how to General Fiasco measure up
to the current crop of indie bands, well to be
honest their new single ‘We Are The Foolish’
is fantastic , the lead vocals are clear, infectious
and very unique sounding and the uniqueness is
something that every indie band that hope to make
the big time needs to stand out from the rest,
the guitar riffs are fantastic, the baselines
provide a massive bouncy and catchy sound, whilst
the drumming is of your standard indie quality
creating an impressive background sound.
Everything about ‘We Are The Foolish’
is great from the way the song has been written
and placed together, to the lyrics to the overall
razor sharp production, these guys are defiantly
going to be the next big indie band and supporting
The Enemy is going to be the start of great things
for them, I love ‘We Are The Foolish’
so much that I actually can’t wait to hear
more songs by these guys.
5/5
