The Silent Years are a band who formed in Detroit
back in late 2005 and since they formed they have
taken the US underground by storm and are now are
looking to do the same in Britain and pretty much
anywhere else that they can crack.
The latest album from The Silent Years is ‘The
Globe’ which is due for release on the 19th
October, but a few weeks before that they are
releasing their new single ‘Amusement Park’,
now the starts off sounding quite dreamy, a bit
like Coldplay really but as the time goes on the
track build up more and more until it reaches
its catchy peak which is sadly ruined by the catchy
yet irritating chorus of “da-da-da-da-da-da”
and “la-la-la-la-la-la”, now I may
not be a song writer but I could surly come up
with a better chorus than that.
I feel that The Silent Years are a very random
band who are going to be a bit like Marmite in
the way that you either love them or hate them
and I can honestly say that nothing within the
song ‘Amusement Park’ makes me want
to keep listening to it, however we will see what
these guys have to offer once their new album
is here.
