Alice In Chains are back with a new album ‘Black
Gives Way To Blue’ the album is due for release
on the 28th September and it is their first new
album release for well over ten years but in the
meantime they are releasing their brand new single
‘Check My Brain Out’ first.
‘Check My Brain Out’ starts off with
a thick distorted guitar riff that is all over
the place, it sounds very wobbly but really heavily
and listenable at the same time, the drum symbols
come in a few seconds later and then a good 30
seconds later the dual vocals from Jerry Cantrell
and William Duval come in, the vocals sound good
but so different from the bands old vocalist Layne
Stanley who sadly passed away in 2002, the song
runs for 4minutes and everything seems to be perfectly
in place with the wobbly guitar riff running throughout
the majority of the song.
It is defiantly a good welcome back for Alice
In Chains and I really can’t wait to hear
their comeback album once it is released later
this month.
4/5
