Black gold are a new band from Brooklyn and they
have already shared the stage with bands such as
Panic At The Disco, Scissor Sisters and The Hold
Steady in America which is pretty impressive and
they are now in the UK playing their biggest headline
tour to date which happens to be ten shows at various
different small club sized venues across the country.
The band release their debut album ‘Rush’
on the 5th October and also their new single ‘Breakdown’
a week earlier on the 28th September. ‘Breakdown’
is a proper radio friendly poppy-disco track that
is bound to go on to become a floor filler at
clubs across the country as the song is so up-tempo
and the dual vocals from lead vocalist Eric Ronick
and backing vocalist Than Luu are so damn in your
face and catchy in the most melodic of ways with
their near female sounding high pitched vocals.
What can I say, so far everything seems good
for Black Gold and it won’t be long until
we can get our hands on their debut album which
promises to be a thrilling ride.
3/5
