Everyone’s favourite pop-punk band Bowling
for Soup are back, they are set to release their
tenth studio album ‘Sorry For Partyin’
on the 13th October which will then be followed
by their massive UK tour which is nicely titled
the ‘Party In Your Pants Tour’, but
before any of this Bowling For Soup will start to
promote the release of their album with their new
single ‘My Wena’ which is released on
the 28th September.
Bowling For Soup are well loved for their comedy
factor, they are a band that don’t take
themselves too seriously and they are always up
for a laugh and spend the majority of their time
singing about sex, girls, willys and pretty much
all the immature things that you can think about
in the world today, and they have stuck to that
exact formula for their new single ‘My Wena’.
As you can easily guess ‘My Wena’
is about willy’s, well ok it’s about
Reddick’s girlfriend who is called Wena,
but the song features many double entendres and
is bound to leave you with a massive smile on
your face, the artwork for the single features
a girl dressed up as a massive willy with the
members of Bowling for soup licking, kissing and
hugging her, the video is equally as funny watching
a girl dressed up as a massive willy walking around
getting various different reactions from passer
by’s, and musically the song is as catchy
as you would expect from Bowling For Soup, with
front man Jaret Reddick getting right into your
head during the catchy chorus which you won’t
be able to shake out of your head.
‘My Wena’, is a good catchy song
and it hits all the right spots and becomes more
interesting after each listen but I will say that
it lacks the excitement that songs such as ‘High
School Never Ends, ‘Bitch Song’, ‘Girl
All The Bad Guys Want’ and ‘Punk Rock
101’ have but I am sure this will keep you
smiling until the 12th October when their new
album is out.
