After listening to the new Elliot Minor single ‘Electric
High’ I can say that I am officially very
excited for the bands forthcoming second album as
the song is everything that their last single ‘Solaris’
wasn’t, no that ‘Solaris’ was
bad because that isn’t the case but with ‘Electric
High’ Elliot Minor have put everything into
it and come up with the best song of their career
to-date.
‘Electric High’ showcases Elliot
Minor taking a massive leap forward, they sound
so much more mature here in their song writing,
production and generally within the overall result
of ‘Electric High’, the first thing
that you will notice within the song is how much
Elliot Minor have improved with their instrumental
work, the song opens with a killer mixture of
drums, guitar and keyboard and it all mixes in
all so well, the vocals from Alex Davies and Ed
Minton work as well as ever as they take it in
turns to song verses throughout the song, things
really do come alive during the action packed
chorus which Elliot Minor have simple put 100%
into.
If you were one of those people who ruled out
Elliot Minor from the start then I really think
that you need to give ‘Electric High’
a listen as the song is fantastic and I can really
see Elliot Minor appealing to a wider range of
people this time around.
5/5
