The king of solo indie music Ian Brown is back with
his new single ‘Stellify’ on the 21st
September and his sixth solo studio album is due
to follow a week later on the 28th September and
I do believe that you have every right to be excited
as Ian Brown is currently at the top of his game
and ‘Stellify’ is one of the best songs
Ian Brown has created in a long time.
‘Stellify’ starts off with a really
catchy keyboard piece which runs throughout the
whole song, vocally Ian Brown sounds as strong
as ever with his vocals coming in nicely in tune
with the groove of the keyboard piece running
throughout the song, mid-way through the song
we are treated to a much welcomed trumpet piece
which adds a slight bit of extra variety to the
song, everything about ‘Stellify’
is great from the killer keyboard piece to Brown’s
well loved vocals to that well welcomed trumpet
piece, I could listen to ‘Stellify’
over and over again without getting bored and
I am sure that I will be doing that soon.
Forget all those Stone Roses re-issues that have
been released over the past couple of weeks and
get into the future of Ian Brown by checking out
‘Stellify’ as I am sure you won’t
be disappointed and will be waiting for his new
album ‘My Way’ just like I am.
4/5
