Over the past few months Steel Panther have certainly
been kicking up a storm in the music industry, they
played an explosive show at Download festival in
June where people were fighting to get in the tent
to see them, they also played an headline show at
the 229 club in London which I’m sure is a
show that is going to go down in the history of
metal books and now they are ready to start their
next UK tour on the 13th September and to coincide
with that tour they are releasing their new single
‘Community Property’ on the 14th September.
‘Community Property’ is so different
from ‘Death To Everything But Metal’,
the song that got the Steel Panther’s noticed
mainly due to the fact that the new single is
a power ballad rather than a cocky rock and roll
show, but where ‘Community Property’
musically sounds toned down, it totally makes
up for everything in the lyrical content which
is extremely sexually explicit, seriously how
often do you hear bands claiming that their cock
is community property within their songs?, the
lyrics will shock a few people but will also please
a lot more people than it shocks and one thing
I do know is that when Steel Panther’s play
this at their upcoming UK tour it will be a proper
intimate 4minutes with lighters and mobile phones
lighting up the air as everyone sings along word
for word whilst swaying along.
Steel Panther’s are a shock rock band and
they love to pay tribute to glam rock from the
1980’s and this is their token power ballad
which they have done a sterling job with.
4/5
