Breed 77 are a Alt Metal flamenco infused band from
Gibraltar, Insects is there 5th studio album and
wil be released on La Rocka Records label
Having seen them live in support of this upcoming
album, i was interested in hearing the clean studio
version of some of the songs performed live, the
album opens with a decent track called Wake up,
its pretty heavy track, and has a decent solo,
not much of a fan of the vocals though, bit too
rough i think. The songs have some flamenco inspired
moments, where it comes through in a bit of its
own space, before disappearing back into the alt
metal. Title track Insects, was a good track to
hear live, lots going on, pretty heavy, with a
solid solo. Album closer, is a cover called Zombie
by the cranberries, i have to say this is pretty
decent cover, that is as good as the original.
This album is one of there best, but not there
best album, i think its close to being it though.
Insects is released sometime in September or
October 2009.
4/5
