The End Of Tomorrow is Ravage's second release,
but there first on the Metal Blade records label,
Ravge are a band from Boston, that have been going
since 1996, and have gone through a few line up
changes.
From the opening song after the intro, it seems
like im listening to Iron Maiden, the way the
song gallops along, like maiden in golden year,
its good to hear a band doing it properly, it
has a classic feel to it, mixing the like of the
sound of the new wave of heavy metal era, with
some 80s thrash thrown in there for good measure.
The guitars are fantastic with great riffs, solid
drumming, with decent bass lines in there too.
The vocals well, they could be alot better, and
seems to be the albums downfall, there abit weak,
and no where near melodic enough. The album is
stuck/firmly rooted in the 80s, but the songs
never seem to reach the epic-ness its wants to
deliver.
This album is for fans of 80s NWOBHM, and is
out now to buy.
3/5
