Album Review
Amon Amarth - The CrusherAmon Amarth - The Crusher

When it comes to reissues, im rather skeptical about them, you really have to weigh up the pros an cons, personally i think there a bit of a rip off, most people cant tell the difference between an original and a reissue, there really only for new fans or the die hard fans who have to have it. What may make buying this album again, if you dont already own this excellent album, is the live version of the album which was played on December 30, 2008 in Bochum, Germany in which they played the album in its entirety and in the same order two, with this reissue, you also get a bonus track 'The Eyes Of Horror' which isnt a bad track and goes well with the rest of the album, sadly your not treated to a live version of this song, also in the set there is new liner notes written by the band. What is there to say about this album that hasn't already been written, its intelligent, well written, the riffs are good and fast, the drumming is some of the best you'll hear, its fast but precise. The production on this album is was pretty good to begin with its just seems to have been tweaked slightly.

Once Sent From The Golden Hall and The Avenger have already been reissued, The Crusher is set to be released on September 1st, its worth buying if you dont already own it, if you already own this album, it may be worth getting for the live album, but you really must want it to justify buying an album you already own for the sake of an additional live album.
