I really enjoyed ‘Counterpoint’ by Delphic,
it was a real upbeat summery sounding electronic
pop song that sounded so beautiful, well now Delphic
are back with their new single ‘This Momentary’
which is released on the 31st August.
I somehow feel cheated with ‘This Momentary’,
the song is big letdown coming off the back of
such an upbeat and successful song. This time
around the song starts off sounding really deep,
dark and depressing with real minimal synths running
in the background, the song does slightly build
up through time and does get close to a pure euphoric
moment that you would expect from your Ibiza club
classics, there is also various different twists
and turns throughout the song and it could easily
be mistaken for a remix version, but once you
hear the remix versions you will clearly notice
the difference.
Despite being slightly disappointed with ‘This
Momentary’ I do feel that the song could
be a grower with you noticing something different
after each listen, I am still looking forward
to the debut album release from Delphic should
be with us by the end of the year.
3/5
