The highly anticipated debut Alberta Cross album
‘Broken Side Of Time’ is due for release
on the 21st September and if the EP they released
back in 2007 is anything to go by then the album
is going help bring Alberta Cross into the mainstream
and make them the superstars they really deserve
to be. A week before their album is released; Alberta
Cross will release their new single ‘ATX’.
‘ATX’ is a song that showcases how
far Alberta Cross have come since they released
their ‘The Thief And The Heartbreaker’
EP back in 2007, the song has that classic Alberta
Cross feel mixed with a bit of the classic Kings
Of Leon sound, the guitar riffs and rumbling bass
lines on their own are pretty damn exciting but
front man Peter Ericson Stakee’s high pitched
vocals are really what make’s ‘ATX’
sound as good as it is, the song is really explosive
and it about being out of place in the world.
If you checked out ‘The Thief And The Heartbreaker’
or managed to see Alberta Cross supporting Oasis
back in 2008 then I am sure you will be intrigued
to check out ‘ATX’ and I am also sure
you won’t be disappointed.
5/5
