One of Australia’s finest rocker’s,
Jet are back with their brand new album ‘Shaka
Rock’ it is due for release on the 7th September,
but in the meantime Jet have just released their
new single ‘She’s A Genius’ which
happens to be the first single taken from their
forthcoming album.
‘She’s A Genius’ is a thrilling
song that features all the energy and excitement
of classic rock song with that slight indie twist,
the song has such a big sound that is going to
put bands such as Kasabian, The Enemy and The
View on edge because Jet are back sounding bigger
and better than ever, this is stadium rock that
is actually going to shake the hell out of stadiums
when Jet get the chance to take them by storm.
The song features really repetitive lyrics of
‘That Girl’s A Genius, Woaahh, I Think
She’s Serious, Woaahhh’ but the way
front man Nic Cester executes the vocals is outstanding
as he has the knack of turning the song in a proper
fist in the air anthem, the guitar riffs and bass
lines feature enough bounce to excite the majority
of us.
The single also features a laid back version
of the song, an acoustic version and also an instrumental
version, they all shine in their own little way,
but I prefer the acoustic version just for the
fact it is that little bit stripped down and raw
sounding whilst still packing a massive punch.
Jet have promised that their new album ‘Shaka
Rock’ is the best work they have ever created
and if ‘She’s A Genius’ is anything
to go by then I have all the faith in the world
in these guys.
