I am well happy to see that The Gaslight Anthem
have chose to release ‘The Backseat’
as their new single as it is the kind of punk rock
song that everyone need’s in their life, in
fact everyone needs a bit of The Gaslight Anthem
in their lives as they rock so much harder than
most bands these days.
Musically what makes The Gaslight Anthem rock
the most is front man Brian Fallon unique and
infectious vocals, he has such a special sounding
voice that you are bound to remember forever,
his vocals during ‘The Backseat’ flow
so fast and smoothly whilst the guitars really
make an impact with their edgy riffs that really
kick out style during the chorus.
‘The Backseat’ is released on the
21st September and it will just add to a very
successful year that The Gaslight Anthem have
had so far with one of their biggest highlights
being joined by Bruce Springsteen on stage at
both Glastonbury and Hard Rock Calling.
This will probably be the last single we hear
from The Gaslight Anthem before they head off
to record the follow up to ‘The 59 Sound’
and I don’t think they can out in a better
way than this.
