The Satanic Surfers are a Swedish melodic punk-rock band. Originally founded
in 1989, they have since released a number of albums and gone through
a number of line up changes until settling on their current line up.
Taste the Poison is the band's first release in three years and is released
on Bad Taste Records in their home country of Sweden and on Household
Name Records over here.
The album is fast punk rock with an aggressive edge; keeps the melodic
vocals that the Satanic Surfers are known for and will have you singing
along in no time. There are some really good stand out tracks on this
album like the opening track "Callousness” and the second track
“Who Prospers?”.
“Restless Anger” has to be my favourite track on the album,
it’s one of the slower tracks on the album and the vocals really
stand out in this track; it features a lot of “Wow Oh Wow’s”.
All in all Satanic Surfers fans are going to love this album, people
who love their punk rock fast and catchy will also love this album.
This album, in general, is pretty fucking cool, but to many tracks sound
similar which lets it down a little bit.
3/5
