Senser are a politically charged band who have been
together since the late 80’s, in their time
they have released four albums and are now due to
release their fifth studio album ‘How To Do
Battle’ on the 19th October but before that
they are going to release ‘Resistance Now’
as a single on the 14th September.
‘Resistance Now’ is a song that has
a bit mix of music styles, it starts off sounding
like the Joey Jordison is drumming from the band
and also that Sid from Slipknot is on mixing duties
as the opening 15 seconds sound very much like
the opening of a classic Slipknot song, well that
is until Heitham Al-Sayed’s hip-hop/rock
style vocals come in. The song features duel vocals
from Heitham Al-Sayed and Kerstin Haigh and they
work so well alongside each other, within seconds
you will find yourself singing or shouting “Resistance,
resistance, resistance now” along with Heitham
Al-Sayed.
With ‘Resistance Now’ Senser have
proved that they still have it after all these
years, they have created a monster of a song that
has so much going on that you will need to listen
to it again and again to get the true enjoyment
that you deserve to get from the song, thing of
The Prodigy meets Slipknot mixed with a bit of
Cypress Hill and you will be close to understanding
what ‘Resistance Now’ sounds like.
