Lovvers are a punk pop rock band from the UK, OCD
GO GO GO GIRLS is their first release on the Wichita
Records.
I like the sound of the music it has a somewhat
retro feel to it, but the vocals just suck balls,
if this was sung cleanly it would be great, who
ever said that the vocals should be put through
a fuzz effect, should have been shot, it ruins
the music to no end. The music is catchy and well
played, drumming steady simple, the guitar is
again simple but catchy but shows signs of brilliance,
but is let down by the shitty vocals, the lyrics
you cant make out, because of the daft effect,
the vocals should have been left on the cutting
room floor. I understand the need to be different,
but when it lets the side down, its a no no. Its
a disappointment to give this album a low score,
it should have got a 4 but seeing as the vocals
just ruin the experience, ill have to give it
a 2.
OCD GO GO GO GIRLS is out on August 10th on Wichita
Records.
