Imagine the Arctic Monkeys, rigged up to a drip of morphine, and from somewhere
significantly less north than Sheffield. And you've got Milburn.
They're a very polite, gentle indie band, with great lyrics and some
good melodies too. And you can't go wrong with a chorus melody as catchy
as that. I'm sorry but it's true.
They aren't trying to be outrageous, or angry, or seem to be making any
point. The single “What You Could've Won,” is just a straight-forward
song, it's simple enough, but it's good to listen to; a blend of gentle
verses with awesome lyrics, and a catchy chorus.
Happy days.
