‘Daylight’ is the new single from Knievel
Genius, it is taken from the bands current 4 track
EP ‘Slung’ and to be fair to them it’s
not bad but on the other hand it’s not ground
breaking and won’t win the band any awards.
The explosive guitar riffs that run throughout the
song is what really brings the song to life but
after a few listens you realise that there really
isn’t any variety, the vocals are quite hard
hitting and raw, think of the vocals from Frank
Carter from The Gallows and tone them down a little
bit then you will have an understanding of how Knievel
Genius vocally sound.
Overall ‘Daylight’ is a good effort,
it shows that the band are passionate about the
music they create and as mentioned above the track
does have a cracking guitar piece that runs throughout,
it’s just maybe next time they need to add
a bit of variety within their music, especially
if they want to progress in the current hard to
crack music business.
3/5
