Falcongate are a 5 piece rock band from Hungary,
Disappear Here is there 3rd release
This album sound like a fair few other pop punk
records that are kicking about at the moment,
this is certainly not reinventing the wheel. It
has some catchyness at times, but generally all
the songs follow the same path and thus sound
pretty much same. The music is fairly competent,
with some solid guitar work, delivered with with
a decent standard of skill, but its simple at
times, there's little let up from these guys,
which for some can be a good thing or a bad thing,
The album has no real landscape its more a wall
of sound, that is at times frankly annoying, some
highs and lows would be nice and break up the
sound of the songs, The Vocals sound like there
American, some sign that there Hungarian would
be nice an may of set them apart from other bands,
but as it is, this type of band is ten a penny,
and is you'll either like it and have 10 albums
that just sound exactly the same or you'll throw
it away because you already own an album that
sound exactly like this one, this could have been
delivered by any number of bands really. This is
going to appeal to teenagers with slanty hair
styles and skin tight jeans, who like bands that
look like them, rather than there musical ability
or sound.
Falcongate, Disappear here, is avaiable to buy
on the 29th of June 2009.
