Cold Truth consists of Thane Shearon on vocals &
rhythm guitar, Abe White on bass, Kurt Mench on
lead and rhythm guitar and on the drums is Matt
Green, Do Whatcha Do is there second studio release.
Its clear from the off, that this band is just
a good old fashioned rock band, the music while
competent, it lacks originality, there are countless
bands, that sound just like this or they sound
just like them. The riffs from the guitarist are
pretty straight forward and you can see whats
coming really, its simple uncomplicated stuff,
it isn't necessarily a bad thing, the drumming
and bass playing is more of the same uncomplicated
stuff. The vocals, however sound like just every
other rock singers, same rough sound, but the
guy has a good voice if unoriginal. There isn't
a single track on here that will grab you in the
first 30 seconds, and make you get excited, its
the kind of music you could just put on in the
background and just ignore it really. This album
will certainly appeal to the classic rock fan,as
this will be right up there ally, as it sounds
like it could of could right out of southern America
in the 70s. its a good rock album, but its far
too unoriginal and doesn't have that killer track
to warrant much too attention or too many repeat
listenings,
Cold Truths, Do Whatcha Do, is an Independent
release and its is out now to purchase.
3/5
