Broadway Calls - Be All You Can't BeBroadway Calls – Be All You Can’t Be

Words cannot really describe how much I love the music of Broadway Calls, it was watching them support Alkaline Trio back in February of this year that really got me into their music they put on a strong energetic show each and every time I saw them play on the tour and that led me to check out their self titled debut album and since then I haven’t been able to put the album down, it’s pure infectious poppy-punk that’s full of energy and is there to put a smile on anyone’s face no matter how bad their day is.

Well Broadway Calls have been busy over the past couple of months writing and recording for their second full length album which is due for release on Side One Dummy Records later in the year and the good news is that we don’t have to wait long to hear new material from the guys as they have just uploading their forthcoming new single ‘Be All You Can’t Be’ to their My Space page.

‘Be All You Can’t Be’ has that classic Broadway Calls infectious poppy punk feel about it, the song features pretty much the same formula as their previous material in the way that the vocals are infectious, the basslines are bouncy, the drum beats are fast and constant and the guitar riffs are as thrilling as ever, the overall feel of the song this time around reminds me slightly of Less than Jake, without the horn section of course.

I expect that I will be listening to ‘Be All You Can’t Be’ on a daily basis until the band’s new album is released in August, seriously Broadway Calls are one of the most thrilling pop-punk bands around and song’s like this just make you fonder of Broadway Calls, I truly believe that one day they will be right up there with bands like Blink 182 and Green Day.

5/5
