Sing It Loud are an five piece band who have been
together since 2007, they are signed to Epitaph
Records, with the record contract coming in pretty
much as soon as they became a band with only a few
shows being played before the guys at Epitaph Records
caught up on them. The first thing I noticed about
Sing it Loud is how young they look and secondly
that a couple of the members with the longer hair
could pass for being members of the all American
boy band Hanson, anyway moving on the band are releasing
their new single ‘No One Can Touch Us’
on the 25th May and its actually pretty damn good.
The thing that I find funny is that most reviews
or comments that I have read for Sing It Loud
have people saying that they sound like every
other poppy-punk band in America these days but
I have to disagree, they sound nothing like Blink
182, Fall Out Boy, New Found Glory, Panic At The
Disco! Etc like all these people have mentioned,
If I had to compare them to a band from the American
poppy-punk market then that band would have to
be Metro Station but then it’s only a short
comparison as both bands have really upbeat bouncy
singles that you can dance your arse off to.
‘No One Can Touch Us’ is quite an
upbeat, bouncy, catchy track that will have you
moving your hips to the beat and chanting along
“Come On, come on, come on” during
the slow paced but catchy chorus, the basslines
really stand out and the guitar riffs aren’t
too bad either. I could listen to ‘No One
Can Touch Us’ over and over without getting
bored.
The band are currently supporting Cobra Starship
in the UK which happens to the first time Sing
It Loud have toured the UK, the band’s debut
album ‘Come Around’ has been out in
America for the best part of an year now and its
finally getting an UK release on the 1st June.
4/5
