Sound OF Guns are a young five piece band from Liverpool
and they bring a massive stadium rock style sound
with them, they state their influences to be The
Verve, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Led Zeppelin,
The Rolling Stones and many other huge stadium rock
bands who has all shared their far share of success.
The new single from sound Of Guns is ‘Architects’
and it is released on the 8th June through Distiller
records, and the song is a 3 minute long work
of art that sounds massive with its explosive
guitar riffs, thunderous drumming and strong as
hell clear vocals that will have you singing “We
are the Architects’ within minutes of listening
to the song.
The b-side is ‘Magnesium Seas’ the
song is on for much longer than the main single,
running at 4minutes and 51 seconds and it’s
also no way near as good as the main single release.
‘Magnesium Seas’ is more of a chilled
out easy listening song than what ‘Architects’
is, but that doesn’t stop the song from
being good because it is good, it’s the
kind of song you would throw your lighters in
the air or as most people do these days throw
your mobile phones and cameras high in the air
whilst swaying along to the beautifully chilled
out sounds.
I really like what I have heard from Sound Of
Guns so far, they have an epic sound and a sound
that really is best listened to in the biggest
of venues, but of course they need to work their
socks off to get to that stage, but for now I’m
sure they sound equally as good in the smaller
club sized venues.
4/5
