Enter Shikari formed back in 2003 when they were still in school and the
band have spent most of their time since then touring all over the country.
2006 has been a great year for this band so far with sold out headlining
shows, shows at Download and Leeds festival and also supporting My Chemical
Romance in London. The band has also had regular video rotations on MTV2
and Scuzz and a nomination at the Kerrang awards.
The band is currently recording their debut album and has taken time out
to release a new double single titled 'Sorry You're Not A Winner' and
'Ok! Time For Plan B' which the band are releasing on their own Ambush
reality label, despite the attention of major labels wanting to snap them
up.
What I love about Enter Shikari is the fact the band mixes different aspects
of different styles of music such as punk and metal with dance and trance
and come up with there own unique sound.
'Sorry You're Not A Winner' is a great song full of dance synths and metal
sounding guitars the vocals are sing a long but shouty in places. I love
the break down half way through the song as the dance synths and vibes
come through louder and louder followed by shouty vocals.
'Ok! Time For Plan B' is another good song with a mixture of dance, trance,
punk and metal and slightly catchier than 'Sorry you're Not A Winner'.
With such a unique sound and a great summer of touring, Enter Shikari
are destined for big things and I can’t wait to check this band
out live as I’m sure it’s an experience I will never forget.
