A fantastically happy-snappy Summer tune for you,
The King Blues have
got a song fit for a Wrigley's advert. Although
the lead vocal does have
a chatty style that usually winds me up a treat,
I can't resist the
smile that crawls across my face as I listen.
It's a “Breakfast at Tiffany's” (Deep
Blue Something) for the modern
age, and features your classic acoustic bass drums
set up. Magically
inoffensive and beautiful gentle, whilst retaining
a sense of pace.
Reminiscent of the 90's and early 2000's, this
song is a steamer, and
even the instrumental version on the single is
a joy to listen to.
Find your friends, and sit in a field with a
boombox, blasting this out.
This will send anyone 18-25 deep into a daze of
memories, I guarantee it.
Get a little closer. Go on.
5/5
