I used to like Placebo back in like 1998 when they
released their album ‘Without You I’m
Nothing’ and the awesome single ‘Pure
Morning’, but after that the only thing I
ever heard from them was a few songs off the follow
up album ‘Black Market Music’ but they
just didn’t have the same effect on me as
what ‘Pure Morning’ did so Placebo went
out of my life until now, the release of their new
single ‘For What It’s Worth’.
The single is not due for release until the 1st
June but the song is widely available to listen
to now to tease the hardcore Placebo fans as they
patently wait for their new album ‘Battle
For The Sun’ to be released on the 8th June.
‘For What It’s Worth’ is a brilliant
sounding song that oozes with style and rhythm
, the vocals of Mr Brian Molko are still as distinctive
and strong sounding as they were ten years ago
and the song features that wide Placebo style
mix of electronics and storming riffs.
Placebo are a band who always manage to stay
in the spotlight, as soon as they released details
on their new album they announced a few headline
shows at quite big venues and they sold out straight
away which shows Placebo have a cult following
and will always have a healthy place in the music
industry as long as they continue to make music.
