Delphic are new to me and should be pretty damn
new to everyone else as they are set to release
their debut single ‘Counterpoint’ on
the 13th April, but it won’t be long before
the band become well know as the song is a killer
and showcases the bands post-dance futuristic indie
brand of music.
‘Counterpoint’ is a track that starts
off heavily on dance beats and electronic synths
and the song pretty much relies on this formula
throughout, the dance beats they create are beautiful
and could easily be put in place for major moments
in blockbuster Hollywood films, the vocals come
and go throughout the song and sound so in place
over the euphoric dance beats, the song runs well
into the 6minute mark and every second of it is
an enjoyable experience which is made even more
enjoyable the more you listen to it.
It’s weird knowing that these guys make
their music in their laptops and then throw guitars,
bass and drums over the electronics to create
their unique sound, it’s a weird formula
to have but it’s certainly a winning formula
for these three lads. I certainly can’t
wait for their debut album which is due for release
later in the year.
4/5
