Success Will Write Apocalypse Across the Sky - The
Grand Partition And Abrogation of Idolatry
This Death Metal band from Tampa, FL, S.W.W.A.A.T.S.
formed in 2006 and features former members of
Bodies in the gears of apparatus and dehumanized.
The music that this band have made has been described
as bleak and impetuous, turbulent with a hopeless
sound.
The album kicks in right away at break neck speed,
no intros, no forewarning, just straight in bludgeoning
you with its technicality, fast guitar work from
Aaron Haines & Ian Sturgill and drumming by
Mike Heller, and there's hardly any breaking down
at random places in the the songs. All the songs
are clear and full but still being rough and grinding,
there's very little let up from this Tampa black
metal outfit. The vocals are conventional guttural
death growls from vocalist John Collett. The music
at times almost grooves but there are many changes
to the tempo and rhythm of the songs while still
going full tilt balls to the wall death metal.
If your after something heavy, bleak, and extremely
fast but at times accessible due to the decent
production of this album then i recommend that
you look out for it on the nuclear blast label
on the 13th of April.
3/5
