These days everyone seems to be majorly excited
about music that features synths and other types
of electronics and it’s kind of taking the
music world by storm and dominating it with the
most popular bands cramming their music full of
synths and other electronic beats.
I would now like to welcome you to the music
of Dan Black as he is the latest artist to cram
his music full of synths but unlike the other
artists out there his music is classed as electronic-pop
rather than giving it your own made up genre name
like others seem to be doing these days.
‘Alone’ is the new single by Dan
Black and the first song I have ever come across
by him and it is a really pleasing listen, like
I mentioned above the song is crammed full of
synths and electronic beats with some of the electronics
reminding me of The Chemical Brothers ‘Block
Rocking Beats’, vocally is where Dan Black
shines the most, his vocals are smooth and clear
sounding throughout the majority of the song,
however his vocals do change slightly throughout
into a more robot sounding style, the lyrics are
really catchy and overall Dan Black is a genius
at writing songs, well so far he has proved to
be with ‘Alone’.
Dan Black is defiantly going to be an artist
worth watching throughout 2009, just mark May
2009 down in your diary as that is the month that
Dan’s debut album comes out and I personally
can’t wait to get hold of it and see how
talented the man really is.
4/5
