‘Hear Our Song’ is the third single
I have heard from The Chemists now, the first song
I heard was the every so catchy ‘Something
For The Weekend’, and the second single I
heard was the more so rocky ‘Radio Booth’
and now the band are ready to release ‘Hear
Our Song’ as their third single release, with
their debut album following on later in the year.
I saw The Chemists live earlier in the year supporting
Feeder and I was actually quite shocked by their
live performance, they came across quite stale
and didn’t rock out at all, but when it
comes to the band’s music on CD they are
totally different, they stand out and appeal to
me. The new single ‘Hear Our Song’
is another really strong release, it’s got
catchy vocals and well written lyrics like the
previous singles with yet another bouncy as hell
chorus, the guitar riffs are as good as what you
would expect from an indie band.
I feel that The Chemists have the potential to
make an name for themselves, they certainly have
the right sound when it comes to their recordings
and CD releases, they are loud a bit rocking and
melodic in the right places which is totally the
right formula for a band looking for success,
let’s just hope they can polish up on their
live skills before they head out on the road again.
4/5
