Shinedown are on their way to becoming massive in
the UK, they need to thank Disturbed for bringing
them over to the UK on their UK tour during October
2008 as that was the first the majority of the UK
had heard of Shinedown despite the success they
have been enjoying in America for some time now,
anyway they went down a storm at the Disturbed shows
and have been teasing their new found UK fans ever
since then with the release of massive free download
packs of different songs and the official single
release of their debut UK single ‘Devour’
which was simply amazing.
The band are now back in America after just completing
a small tour of the UK but it seems like they pretty
much have their next few months planned with the
release of their next single ‘Sound Of Madness’
on the 23rd February and then the album of the same
name on the 2nd March.
‘Sound Of Madness’ is an heavy yet
melodic rock track, that’s going to get
peoples feet and whole body’s moving in
the pit at the bands gigs and the dance floors
of many rock clubs across the world, the song
has a bit of a rap-rock feel about it, kind of
similar to the nu-metal style music of bands such
as P.O.D and even Seether and overall the song
is massive sounding and makes me want to get hold
of the new Shinedown album even more.
After the success of their debut UK single release
‘devour’, and their sold out mini
UK tour it’s pretty much guaranteed that
2009 is going to be a big year for Shinedown,
the new single ‘Sound Of Madness’
is going to expand their profile and once the
album of the same name is released in just over
an month you can expect Shinedown madness to be
unleashed across the UK and this to be there second
home with tours and festival appearances in sight.
5/5
