Dorp are currently out on a Rocksound sponsored
tour and to coincide with that the band are releasing
a new single called 'London Out There' the song
is taken from the bands epic album 'Human Being'
and wow it’s an extremely huge sounding song.
I still can’t understand how I never liked
Dorp when they first came on the scene about 18
months ago as they are now one of my favourite
upcoming bands in the UK. The new single 'London
Out There' is a huge sounding song, it’s
crammed full of rocking guitar riffs, constant
heavy drumming and enough electronic sounds to
please anyone who is into this new wave of electronic
fused rock music. The overall sound and feel of
the song wouldn’t feel that out of place
on a Nine Inch Nails song, in fact I am sure this
is the kind of song that Trent Reznor and the
boys would be pretty proud of if they ever came
across it, 'London Out There' is a big, whacky
addictive song and the strongest single Dorp have
unleashed so far.
The b-side to the single is 'Extreme' a song
that is also featured on the bands debut album,
the song is another electronic fused song, that
has some really big bass sounds pumping out and
also has some great break downs.
There is also a remix version of 'London Out
There' included on the single, and it sounds like
a pure dance floor anthem, it’s been totally
revamped for the clubbing generation and is a
really pleasing listen.
Dorp are a really outstanding band, they are
doing things differently than what most bands
are doing these days and that’s what makes
Dorp so exciting and fresh sounding, give 'London
Out There' a listen as I am sure Dorp could possibly
become your new favourite band if you do, these
guys are so talented and they totally know it.
