Single

Late Of The Pier are one of the most original bands
that I have come across in a long time, the only
bad thing I have to say about the band is that they
are another one of them bands that release singles
in the early days that don’t get anywhere
and then as soon as they become recognised and make
a name for themselves they re-release the singles
as a totally new single thinking that people will
never know that the single was originally released
6 months earlier type thing, but these things are
never forgotten and kept secret especially with
the power of the internet where pretty much any
information you need is found at the press of a
couple of buttons.
So Late Of The Pier are re-releasing 'Bathroom Gurgle',
the song was originally released exactly a year
ago, the song is a good listen but is no where near
as good as any of their previous single releases
and I feel that there are many more good songs on
the album that should of been released before they
decided to give this song another go as a single
release. Nevertheless the song is well listenable
and like most Late Of The Pier songs 'Bathroom Gurgle'
heads off in a really fast direction sound wise
with many twists and turns and different synths.
Late Of The Pier have the perfect disco dance floor
sound and they can be enjoyed a lot if you are sober
or totally fucked out of your head but I’m
pretty sure they will become even more enjoyable
once you are out of your head.
4/5
