I have a lot of time for Black Tide, they are so
talented for their age, it’s not often that
you hear a bunch of teenagers blast out well written
rock songs and especially at some of the biggest
festivals across the world, the band have already
played Ozzfest in the states, Download in the UK,
they are currently touring with Slipknot on the
Rockstar Mayhem Tour and as soon as that finishes
this week they are heading back to the UK to play
the Reading and Leeds festival and then heading
out as support band for Bullet For My Valentine
in November.
Black Tide are an extremely hard working band,
and as soon as they have played the Reading and
Leeds festival they will be releasing their new
single 'Shout', now 'Shout' isn’t the strongest
track from their debut album 'Light From Above',
infact it’s quite a mellow track compared
to the rest of the album, but I can totally understand
why Black Tide have decided to release this as
their next single as it’s one of the most
radio friendly tracks on the album, which should
hopefully help get them that extra bit of exposure,
the guitar playing is big and quite simply amazing,
and the chorus is quite a chant-a-long affair.
If you love bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden,
Pantera, Megadeath and any other of the big old
skool rock bands then you are going to love Black
Tide as well as the band are heavily influenced
by the old generation of rock music and it clearly
shows in their music. Give 'Shout' a listen or
even better just go out and get a copy of the
bands debut album 'Light From Above'.
4/5
