There is no escaping Duffy at the moment, the Welsh
singer song writer has enjoyed major success with
her debut album 'Rockferry' which has already sold
over a million copies in the UK alone making her
the year's biggest selling solo artist to date,
the single releases from Duffy have also gone to
sell well and gain really high positions in the
official UK singles chart, Duffy has just completed
two outstanding shows at this years V Festival.
Duffy is now ready to release her new single
'Stepping Stone' the song is about self-possession,
strength and restraint and is one of the best
releases Duffy has made so far, the song is such
a soft, slow paced song, where the chilling piano
piece works as the heart beat of the song with
Duffy's strong and distinctive vocals sounding
louder, clearer and better than ever, the song
is a lot different from the previous single releases
from Duffy, the catchy feel from 'Mercy' is no
where in sight, instead we are treated to a phenomenal
beautifully sung song.
It's easy to see why Duffy is so successful,
she has the sound that appeals to a wide range
of people, the same kind of sound and appeal that
Amy Winehouse had when she came on the scene,
the only difference is that Duffy is extremely
confident and I can’t see her cracking under
pressure.
4/5
