Webmaster Trigger reviewed the single “Discussions” and said great
things. From this, I was quite excited to hear the album, however being
the eternally miserable pessimist I am, I was expecting that song to be
the only good one. Thankfully though, I was wrong, and it's all thumbs up.
With upbeat cheery melodic loveliness from start to finish that gets you
waving your arms about and clicking anything you can click, Look See
Proof are a jukebox of new-age indie anthems. The numerous vocals
already included in the track encourage everyone else to join in and
sing along as well, and the only real down-side I can pick out is that
it all sounds very similar, but that's true with a lot of bands in this
genre, so I'll let it go.
These guys have more energy than the national grid, and I'd highlight
stand-out tracks as “Obstruction,” and “Casualty,” which I believe is
also a single taken from the album. Look See Proof have buckets of
potential, but there is certainly a lot of competition at the moment as
this is one of the fastest growing musical genres at present, and I
think they're just missing a little bit of sparkle and originality,
which is restricting them from greatness. But I'd still listen to them,
because I like all the bands they sound like!
4/5
