I have been following The Rivers closely over the
past couple of months with their two previous singles
'Knock Me Down' and 'She Gives It Around' being
outstanding releases, the band are now ready to
release their next single 'Got Something On Me',
and by no surprise at all it’s as good and
if not better than their previous single releases.
'Got Something On Me' is such an upbeat catchy
and bright anthem that’s bound to cement
The Rivers a bright future in the indie scene,
each song I have heard from the Rivers has been
a totally kick arse song with a really strong
sing along chorus, but none of the previous single
releases has been as top notch as this.
The Rivers are the kind of band that I expect
the NME kids have been waiting to hear for years.
They have the rockiness of Razorlight, the catchiness
of The Kooks, and the matureness of themselves,
in my opinion The Rivers are the hottest new indie
band of 2008, with two outstanding singles behind
them and third single just about to be released
and don’t forget the debut album which is
currently in the works and due for release in
the autumn, The Rivers get better with each and
every release, by the time the album is released
we could be listening to the most outstanding
indie album of all time, well 2008.
5/5
