With a title of 'Burn America Burn' you would expect
that it is the latest government based political
single from Anti-Flag but in fact it’s not,
it is the latest single release from long running
Brighton based folk-punk band The Levellers and
to be fair it's quite a stomping song.
'Burn America Burn' has The Levellers written
all over it, it’s pretty much what you would
expect from The Levellers, it's really upbeat
and has a sort of gypsy folk sound about it which
is what most people have come to love from The
Levellers, it’s a really fun track and a
great follow up from their last single release
'A Life Less Ordinary' which shows to me their
forthcoming studio album 'Letters From The Underground'
could be well worth checking out once it’s
released.
It's fair to say The Levellers can still come
up with killer songs after all this time, the
band have now been together for a massive 20 years
and they even have their own festival named after
one of their most famous song's 'Beautiful Day',
and if that isn’t enough they have pretty
much the whole of August booked up with festival
dates around the country.
4/5
