The Elements are a new band hailing from Birmingham
and have just released their debut single 'Caught
In A Storm', the song was written towards the end
of 2007 and is a taster of what to expect from the
debut album from The Elements once it's released
at the end of the month.
'Caught In A Storm' is a bit of a fast flying
and in your face rocking track, the guitars are
fast and fierce and the vocals are also of a fast
nature but are very clear and catchy and have
straight forward lyrics that you will find yourself
picking up on in no time at all and singing along
with out even noticing.
The b-side 'Handle On Love' is totally different
from the stomping single 'Caught In a Storm',
the song is much softer and slower and really
shows how diverse The Elements are, the vocals
are really chilled yet quite catchy. The song
isn’t as good as 'Caught In A Storm' but
it is good in its own way mainly for the fact
that it is so different from the main single release
and The Elements seem to pull off being heavy
and loud and also being slow and soft.
This release by The Elements is pretty impressive
for a debut release, the band have potential and
if they keep heading in right direction by writing
more killer tracks then 2008 could end up being
a really big year for them.
3.5/5
