I have only just come across China Dogs, but what
a band, they are so fast and energetic and have
a sound of The Enemy mixed with The Clash and The
Jam with their own style also thrown in for good
measures. The band have just released their debut
EP 'A Social Black Out' and what a release it is.
The EP starts off with the title track 'A Social
Black Out' and wow these guys don’t mess
about and totally know how to come up with a killer
sound, the guitars start off thick and fast, the
bass lines are very punchy and front man Rod Kitson's
vocals are so fast, clear and powerful and just
from his vocal style you can tell Rod is the kind
of frontman who likes to throw himself across
the stage on the live circuit. 'A Social Black
Out' is huge sounding and has great potential.
'Small Town Boy' is still another up-tempo song
but doesn’t have the same quality as 'A
Social Black Out' and is a bit of a come down
after hearing such a great song seconds before,
however the chorus is huge and the guitar work
is top notch with styles changing throughout.
The opening drum beat of 'Something Real' leads
into a long running jamming session but soon after
frontman Rod Kitson's vocals come in sounding
as fast and clear as ever. The song is another
huge sounding song and the band have mastered
how to make a noise and how to make it sound good
here.
China Dogs have a really huge sound and are a
band I recommend you check out, they sound so
big and energetic on record and I am pretty sure
their live show is 10 times more energetic. Head
over to the bands myspace and stream this EP,
you wont be dissapointed and will be hooked as
soon the title track 'A Social Black Out' starts
off.
