Here we have the new album release from the Worcester 4-piece, the B Movie
Heroes and its a pure rock album that you want to listen to loud and proud.
'Calibrate' starts off with a little intro and then slams straight into
'Cash Cow' which has a great sing along chorus with shouts of 'Hey! Hey!'
in which you find yourself joining in with. 'My Apology' is full of heavy
thrashing drums and good riffs and is a pretty damn catchy song and has
yet another chorus you cant help but sing along to, top stuff. 'Personal
Failure' is another heavy sounding rock song with some very raw sounding
lyrics and a near shout along chorus.
Things go a bit mellower for '(Blood Is) Thicker Than Wine' and stands
out the most on the album for the fact its so mellow. 'Livin The Lie'
starts off with blistering drums and picks up the pace again and is a
fast and furious classic rock tune.
Now I remember hearing 'Bitter Sweet Sedation' at a B Movie Heroes gig
nearly a year ago and loved the song then. Its a pretty mellow sing along
song that picks up for the chorus, you will have this song in your head
for hours after hearing it.
The album finishes with 'Stop killing Me' which is full of huge riffs
and some great solos and runs at seven minutes long finishing the album
perfectly.
You cant help but compare this band to the Wildhearts as they sound similar
in many ways but that’s a good thing in my eyes and its great to
see such good British rock bands writing good songs, lets hope the B Movie
Heroes go far.
4/5
