Taking Back Sunday are back with their third full length album titled
'Louder Now' and the band surely do live up to the title of the album as
they seem a lot louder, harder and faster than ever before.
The album starts off with 'What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?' which is a
heavy opening track and shows this band are definitely louder now. The band's
new single 'MakeDamnSure' is a stunning song and one you will find yourself
listening to again and again with its shout-a-long chorus.
'Twenty-Twenty Surgery' is the stand out track to me and one of the most
radio friendly tracks with its catchy chorus of "Twenty twenty surgery,
twenty twenty surgery for cheap". A stunning song musically and lyrically.
'Spin' is a track full of power and adrenaline and is a straight forward
rocking song. 'Error Operator' is a short track but very powerful and has
one of the best choruses I have heard this year; "we can't go back, cant go
back, cant go back, we cant"; strong, powerful lyrics.
This is definitely the best work Taking Back Sunday have ever done. The
lyrics are a lot darker and the band are a lot louder and faster sounding.
Each and every song on this album has potential to be a single due to the
singalong chrouses the band are well known for. If you love emo music get
this album as Taking Back Sunday are top of the league and it will take a
lot to top this masterpiece.
